EUREKA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The track 'Little Bird' was released on an Italian label about 12 years ago, whether on a comp or a full JC album tha I don`t know. I`ve been looking for some of his stuff for months,Great album, Many Thanks!!;0)
You're very welcome Filemuncher! Looks like the other JC (from what I can determine he only recordfed 2) is out of print now as well so might have to rip it up too.
Not sure about the Italian job you mention, I would guess it was a comp unless you recognize the other tracks here then it might have been a bootleg reissue...
I just found a sealed copy of Hey Jude in a thrift store for a dollar and bought it on a whim cause of being a jazz organ fan. I have been looking for info on this guy and wanted thank you for all the work you put in. Sounds like a true rare classic. Make me wonder how many other great artists I am missing. Any luck on finding and mp3s?
You'll never believe this but a few minutes ago I was thinking to myself "hey, I should check if The Blues Caravan album was kicking around on the net but couldn't remember the name.
So, I log in and what do I see?
Your comment on Jimmy Caravan!
Great score on Hey Jude for a buck! I got mine in the 80s for $5 I think. No luck on finding a digital version and since the reissue appears to be OOP already, I may have to rip and post it in the future.
I'm glad you found my post informative - some of them I really try to get as in-depth as possible and this was one of them. Thanks for the comment!
Just tryin' to put back into the music blogosphere by fillin' in any blanks I can with out-of-print vinyl as well as the occasional mix, remix, re-edit, art or rant. But mostly vinyl. Mostly.
